This scholarship recognises students who have completed a geography major in a Bachelor of Science, Arts or Environments and are enrolling in a respective honours program or a Master of Geography with a thesis in applied urban geography.

  • Eligibility & selection criteria

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

    • Be enrolled in the Master of Geography or a Geography stream of the Bachelor of Science (Honours), Bachelor of Arts (Honours) or Bachelor of Environments (Honours) in 2022.

    Selection criteria

    • Performance in the applicant’s undergraduate studies: weighted average mark in units that have contributed to a geography major.
    • Strength of the preliminary research proposal put forward in the application for an honours or masters thesis and the completed application form.
  • Application process

    Students must complete the application form and also submit:

    • A letter of application that includes an outline of activities and interests beyond academia (no longer than 1 page)
    • A curriculum vitae
