CitiPower Scholarship

This scholarship supports a female student throughout her studies in electrical engineering, with $5,000 per semester for the final year of the Bachelor of Science (Electrical Systems) and continuing throughout the two years of the Master of Engineering (Electrical), and offering vacation work and mentoring opportunities.

  • Eligibility & selection criteria

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

    • be a female student enrolled in the final year of the Bachelor of Science completing an Electrical Systems Major
    • be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident or holder of a Humanitarian Visa and have working rights in Australia
    • commit to undertake 12 weeks of paid vacation work at CitiPower Powercor at the end of the penultimate year of the Masters of Engineering
    • be prepared to participate in a mentoring program at CitiPower Powercor
    • not be committed to another employer

    Selection criteria

    • Strength of a personal statement demonstrating an interest in pursuing a career in the power industry
    • Demonstration of a high level of academic achievement in past studies
    • Demonstration of a high level of communication, team and interpersonal skills

    CitiPower Powercor shall make the final selection based on each student's application and may require the candidates for an interview.

  • Application process

    Submit an online application via the Melbourne School of Engineering current students website.

  • When will I know the outcome?

    All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application approximately two to four weeks after the application close date.
