This scholarship is offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics to domestic undergraduate students who are enrolling in the Bachelor of Commerce and are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances.

  • Eligibility & selection criteria

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

    • be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
    • have completed Year 12 or International Baccalaureate in Australia
    • not have completed subjects undertaken as part of a tertiary course
    • have applied for the Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne via VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) for commencement in the year following completion of Year 12 or International Baccalaureate
    • meet the Access Melbourne entry requirements.

    Selection criteria

    Using the approved VTAC Access Scholarship selection process (managed by Scholarships (SASS)), the Commerce Access Scholarship is offered to eligible candidates with the highest overall level of disadvantage based on the information provided in their VTAC SEAS application and an ATAR of at least 90.

  • Application process

    Students who have applied for admission to the University via VTAC SEAS will be automatically considered for this scholarship.

What are the benefits?

The scholarship provides $10,000 per annum over 3 years, paid in two $5,000 instalments in May and October after census dates each year.
