The David Grant Prize was established with a gift from Lilian Edith Grant and is awarded to students who achieve the highest mark for the subject MD Discovery 4: Research Scholar.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this prize, you must:
- Be enrolled in the fourth year of the Doctor of Medicine
- Have completed the subject MD Discovery 4: Research Scholar (or its successor).
Selection criteria
The prize is offered to the eligible candidate(s) ranked highest based on their performance for the subject MD Discovery 4: Research Scholar (or its successor) where the monograph contributes 50%, the final oral presentation contributes 25%, and the poster contributes 25% to the overall score.
In the event of a tie, an additional prize will be awarded.
