French History Research Higher Degree Scholarship

This scholarship, worth approximately $1500, supports research higher degree students enrolled in the Faculty of Arts or The Faculty of VCA and Music who are studying an aspect of French History or Culture to undertake overseas travel to France or elsewhere for academically justifiable research.

  • Eligibility & selection criteria


    To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

    • be a PhD candidate with confirmed candidature in the Faculty of Arts or The Faculty of VCA and Music
    • be studying an aspect of French History or Culture
    • have good academic merit
    • have a clear and justifiable plan for the use of the award

    Recipients are required to:

    • accept award online within 21 days
    • submit a final report
  • Application process

    Submit an online application, including:

    • outline of proposed planned activities that will be undertaken through the Scholarship
    • current Academic Record/transcript
    • two academic references
    • any other information to support application that may assist the committee in making its decision
  • When will I know the outcome?

    Applicants will be advised of the outcome via email within 8-10 weeks after the closing date.

What are the benefits?

Approximately $1,500. One scholarship will be awarded.
