Summary
The Jennifer Nason Scholarship is supported by the Women in Business and Economics Fund and is offered to high-achieving domestic students who are enrolling in the Bachelor of Commerce and identify as women or non-binary.
Benefits
The scholarship provides $10,000 per annum over 3 years, paid in two $5,000 instalments in April and September after census dates each year.
Students are also given access to the Abernethy Scholars Program.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen, who has completed an Australian Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate in or outside Australia;
- identify as a woman (cis-gender and trans women) or non-binary;
- have completed an Australian Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate in Australia;
- have not previously undertaken any tertiary studies (excluding extension studies completed as part of a Year 12 program);
- have applied for the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) at the University of Melbourne via VTAC, for commencement in the year following completion of Australian Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate;
- meet the entry requirements for the Bachelor of Commerce.
Selection criteria
Selection is made based on academic merit (the results you achieved in your most recent years of study of Australian Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate). The scholarship is offered to the eligible student with the highest ATAR.

How to apply
Students are automatically considered if they have applied for admission via VTAC.
There is no separate application process.
When will I know the outcome?
The first offers are made a few days after the Victorian Year 12 ATAR results are released in December. Further offers are made in January and February to students who have completed IB or Year 12 outside Victoria.
Scholarship offers do not represent an offer for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce or the Graduate Degree Packages, Bachelor of Commerce / Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Commerce / Juris Doctor. Course offers are made separately through VTAC.
