Joint PhD Scholarship

The Joint PhD Scholarship is available to two candidates researching in the climate and energy space in a collaboration between the University of Melbourne and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, It includes at least 12 months' study in Germany.

  • Eligibility & selection criteria

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

    • enrol for commencement in 2018 or early 2019 with a commitment to spend at least 12 months at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology

    Selection criteria

    Eligible candidates will be assessed by the University of Melbourne and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology on the basis of their academic transcripts and their research work.

  • Application process

    Apply online with supporting documentation.

  • When will I know the outcome?

    Interviews will be held mid/late-October. Successful applicants will progress to the next stage by November, with outcomes known in December 2018.

What are the benefits?

  • Full fee remission for up to four years plus a living allowance of $30,000 per year pro rata for up to 3.5 years.
  • Relocation grant of $2000 for students moving from States or Territories other than Victoria or $3000 for students moving from outside Australia
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Single Membership for international students who require a student visa to study in Australia
