The Lionel Gell Excellence Award was established by the Lionel Gell Foundation and is offered to high achieving students who completed the second year of an undergraduate or graduate degree in selected disciplines with the Faculty Fine Arts and Music.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this award, you must be enrolled in the second year of one of:
- Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Art (Painting)
- Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Art (all disciplines)
- Bachelor of Fine Arts (Theatre)
- Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film and Television)
- Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance)
- Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production)
- Bachelor of Music (Interactive Composition)
- Bachelor of Music (Jazz and Improvisation) or Master of Contemporary Art (or their successors).
Selection criteria
The award is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their course weighted average mark and artistic works or performance.
Conditions
Students must agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation, if requested.
