  • Eligibility & selection criteria

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

    • Be enrolled in a graduate coursework or graduate research program in the Agriculture, Food and Ecosystem Sciences (SAFES), or its successor; and,
    • Be undertaking research in the discipline of arboriculture.

    *Arboriculture is defined as the study of the cultivation or management of individual trees, shrubs or other perennial woody plants.

    Selection criteria

    Eligible candidates will be ranked based on:

    • The quality of research completed in the discipline of arboriculture, or generally the furtherance of the planting, maintenance or preservation of trees.
    • The impact of additional support on the research project

    Funds from this scholarship can be used  to assist research projects. This may include:

    • Participation at conferences,
    • Travel support,
    • Field-work support, or
    • Purchase of specialist research based equipment.

    Note:  Graduate Researchers need to apply for Study Away if travelling for research-related activities away from the University.

    Fill in an scholarship application form online and submit it to the Faculty of Science by the due date.

What are the benefits?

A single payment of up to $1,000 for masters students and $3,000 for Graduate Research Science students.
