Melbourne Access Scholarship - Women into Engineering

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

• be female and an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen
• have completed Year 12 or International Baccalaureate in Australia
• not have been awarded results for subjects undertaken as part of a degree course at a tertiary institution in Australia
• have applied for a University of Melbourne Graduate Degree Package in Engineering via VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) for commencement in the year following completion of Year 12 or International Baccalaureate
• be eligible for entry to the University of Melbourne under Access Melbourne

Selection criteria

This scholarship is awarded to eligible candidates who have the highest overall level of disadvantage based on the information provided in their VTAC SEAS application and their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).

Conditions

This scholarship is subject to the Coursework Scholarships Terms & Conditions and can be deferred to the following academic year. In addition, you must enrol in the Bachelor of Science with an engineering major followed by the Master of Engineering. See: Engineering pathway

Students who have applied for Access Melbourne using the VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) will be automatically considered for these scholarships.

Scholarship offers are made a few days after the Victorian Year 12 ATAR are released in December. Further offers are made in January and February to students who have completed IB or Year Twelve at an school outside Victoria.

Recipients in their second or third year are eligible to participate in the Access Connections Mentoring Program, which partners students and alumni for a semester-long mentorship.
