  • Eligibility & selection criteria

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

    • be an international student
    • be a citizen of the following countries/regions: Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Mainland China, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam
    • admitted to the Melbourne JD at Melbourne Law School.

    Selection criteria

    The scholarship is awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need, leadership potential, and commitment to the community and/or furthering relations between Australia and Asia.

  • Application process

    International applicants must have submitted an application for the Melbourne JD by their respective application deadlines for commencement the following year.

  • When will I know the outcome?

    Recipients will receive an outcome with their admission offer.

What are the benefits?

$25,000 per year (split into equal quarterly payments in April, June, September, November) over three years (total $75,000), plus mentoring, internship and extracurricular opportunities.
