The Student Engagement Grants (SEG) program supports student-led initiatives that aim to implement constructive change in the local, national or international community. The program includes the Peter McPhee Student Awards.

  • Eligibility & selection criteria

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

    • be engaged in a project led by a current University of Melbourne student and able to complete the activity before the completion of your course
    • have provided completion reports (fully acquitted with no outstanding debts) for previously awarded Student Engagement Grants or Peter McPhee Student Awards.

    Selection criteria

    Eligibility applications will be ranked on criteria including:

    • Outcomes which address an important social, economic, environmental or cultural issue
    • Value to the community and the feasibility of timely completion and within budget
    • Benefit for the applicant(s) in terms of skills, knowledge and leadership development
    • Where there is more than one, applicants are representative of more than one faculty
    • Support of, and benefit to, any partner organisations
    • Interdisciplinary focus.
