This scholarship supports rural candidates wishing to undertake a Master of Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary), (Primary) or (Secondary) with a single payment of approximately $4,000.

  • Eligibility & selection criteria


    To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

    • live in rural Victoria
    • be an Australian citizen
    • be commencing the Master of Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary), Master of Teaching (Primary) or Master of Teaching (Secondary)
    • demonstrate an interest in working as a teacher in a Victorian government school

  • Application process
    • submit an online application
    • provide evidence that you are enrolled in one of the eligible courses
    • provide evidence from the University of the total tuition fees for the course you are undertaking in the form of a statement or letter
    • write a personal statement outlining why you are undertaking study and why you want to become a teacher (no more than ½ page)
  • When will I know the outcome?

    All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application approximately 6 weeks after the application closing date.
