The Bank First MGSE Community Spirit Award

This award will be granted to a student undertaking a Master’s degree at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education who is involved in a community minded program(s) that supports refugees, people from disadvantaged backgrounds and/or indigenous communities whilst studying at the University of Melbourne. This can include paid and/or voluntary work.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

    • have completed one year of a MGSE Master’s degree
    • be undertaking a full-time or part-time study load

    Selection criteria

    • eligible applicants will be assessed on the merit of their application
    • applications must address all questions in the application form
    • references are required.
  • Application process

    Completion of application form.

    Application questions - Applications must address the three questions below (400 words maximum)

    1. Provide a list of all activities that you have been involved in that relate to programs that support refugees, people from disadvantaged backgrounds and/or indigenous communities. This can include paid and/or voluntary work whilst undertaking your Master’s degree.
    2. Why is this important to you and what do you gain from giving up your time to help others?
    3. What benefit do these communities receive from your work?

    Please provide two reference letters confirming involvement.
