Graduate course guarantees

As a Melbourne Chancellor’s Scholar you’ll begin your bachelors degree with the security of knowing a place is reserved for you in the graduate course of your choice.

  • Domestic students: You’ll receive a guaranteed Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) in the professional entry masters degree of your choice
  • International students: You’ll receive a guaranteed International Fee Place in the professional entry masters degree of your choice

The guarantee is subject to meeting course prerequisites for the graduate degree. No minimum Grade Point Average is required in your undergraduate degree, however you may be required to meet course prerequisites and satisfy other requirements for specific courses, such as an interview.

The maximum time allowed between completing your undergraduate degree and commencing the professional entry masters degree is 18 months.

    It is strongly recommended that all commencing students have either studied chemistry equivalent to 25 points of first year university subjects, or complete the Chemistry Bridging Course offered in February each year.

    Doctor of Medicine Successfully complete your undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne in any discipline.

    Perform satisfactorily in the Doctor of Medicine Multi-Mini Interview (MMI).

    Note: Chancellors Scholars are not required to complete the Graduate Australian Medical School Admission Test (GAMSAT).
    Master of Nursing Science Successfully complete your undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne in any discipline.
    Doctor of Optometry Successfully complete your undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne in any discipline.

    Doctor of Physiotherapy Successfully complete your undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne in any discipline.

    Master of Social Work Successfully complete your undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne with at least one year of full-time studies in social sciences or equivalent.

    Provide a current Curriculum Vitae (CV) that details education, workplace experience and other relevant skills and training and contact details for a professional referee.
    Master of Speech Pathology Successfully complete your undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne in any discipline.

    12.5 points (one subject) of university-level computer science (or equivalent) with content focused on computer programming, and
