Summary
The Science Research Travel Grant - Agricultural Science is offered to graduate researchers undertaking research in a field of Agriculture, Food or Ecosystem Sciences to travel to attend activities such as conferences or fieldwork as part of a study away request.
Benefits
This grant provides a one-off payment of up to $1,500 for domestic travel (within Australia and New Zealand) or up to $3,000 for international travel.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this award, you must:
- Be enrolled in a graduate research degree in the School of Agriculture, Food and Ecosystem Sciences
- Be enrolled at the time of proposed travel. Travel during leave of absence or after thesis submission will not be supported
- Be confirmed in their candidature
Please note:
- Graduate researchers may receive one Science Research Travel Grant per calendar year, and a maximum of two grants throughout their candidature
- Masters by research graduate researchers may receive one travel grant throughout their candidature.
Students travelling overseas may also be eligible for the Science Abroad Travelling Scholarships

Conditions
If the application is approved, the funds cannot be paid to the supervisor's account. The amount will be disbursed directly to the applicant's banking details as listed on the student portal.

How to apply
You must submit an online application and include:
- Evidence of your conference presentation/poster, lab visit or internship with your application or it will not be considered. Emails will suffice.
*It is required to apply for Study Away with the application. Graduate Researchers need to apply for Study Away if travelling for research-related activities away from the University.
