The Agilent Indigenous STEM Leadership Award is supported by the Agilent Technologies Foundation and offered to Indigenous students who are enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or research degree and undertaking study research in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this award, you must:

  • Indigenous students enrolled in STEM degrees OR Enrolled in other degrees and who have participated in Indigenous STEM activities or activities conducted by the University
  • Candidates may be enrolled in undergraduate, graduate coursework or graduate research degrees.
  • Indigeneity – as verified by Murrup Barak

Selection criteria

The award is offered to students who are ranked highest by the selection panel based on their academic achievements, leadership and community engagement, and alignment of their study or research to the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.

How to apply

Applicants must apply through the apply link below. The applications require extended responses about 'leadership', 'award impact' and experience of STEM activities, and a letter of endorsement:

  • For undergraduate and graduate coursework students, from the Director of the degree in which the student is enrolled, or the relevant Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning) in the Faculty offering the degree
  • For graduate research students, from the head of the Faculty or School of the candidate’s PhD candidature, or the PhD supervisor.
