Summary
The Airwallex Excellence in Technology Scholarship was established with a gift from Airwallex and is awarded to talented students who are enrolled in a graduate degree by coursework in the School of Computer and Information Systems. Preference is given to students who can demonstrate a passion and career aspiration to apply technology for social impact.
Benefits
This scholarship provides a living allowance of $15,000 per year for two years, paid in half-yearly instalments of $7500 in April and September.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be enrolled in your first semester of study in a Master of Computer Science, Master of Information Technology, Master of Information Systems, or Master of Software Engineering in the year for which the scholarship is awarded
- Have completed an undergraduate degree specialising in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Have a course entry score equivalent to a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 80.
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the eligible candidate(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their course entry score and personal statement.
Preference is given to candidates who can demonstrate a passion and career aspiration to apply technology for social impact, if ranked in the top 50 per cent.
Conditions
This scholarship is subject to the Engineering and IT Coursework Scholarship Terms and Conditions and cannot be deferred to the following year. In addition, recipients must:
- Achieve a weighted average mark of 75 in each half-year study period
- Agree to the University sharing their name and the name of their course with the donor of this scholarship and to provide a brief annual report on the benefits of the scholarship.

- A personal statement addressing your passion for technology and its commercial applications, your interest in and understanding of global financial platforms, and the impact the scholarship will have on enabling the applicant to achieve your educational and professional goals
