The Airwallex Opportunity Grants were established with a gift from Airwallex and are awarded to students enrolled in a coursework degree in Computing and lnformaon Systems who are experiencing financial difficulties.

This grant provides a one-off payment of $2000 to $5000.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this grant, you must:

  • Be enrolled in a masters by coursework degree in the School of Computing and Information Systems in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology or an undergraduate degree majoring in Computing and Software Systems in the year for which the grant is awarded
  • Have completed at least one semester of your degree.

Selection criteria

The grant is offered to the eligible candidate(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their FEIT Financial Need Assessment score and application.

In the interest of equitable distribution of awards, other scholarships or awards received from the University by candidates are considered.

Conditions

Recipients must agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation and a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.

  • A personal statement addressing your current financial situation and how this has impacted  your studies, and how the funds would directly improve your ability to focus on your studies.
