Summary

The Alton Gould Edmons Scholarship was established with a gift from Mrs Christine Elizabeth Edmonds and is offered to students who are enrolled in a graduate research degree in Agriculture and are experiencing financial need.

Benefits

The scholarship provides a fortnightly stipend with a rate of $10,000 per year (full-time student rate) for one year.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered you must be enrolled in a graduate research degree in the Faculty of Science in the field of Agriculture.

Selection criteria

The scholarship is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on the quality of their application and financial assessment score. In the interests of equitable distribution of scholarships, other scholarships or prizes received from the University by graduate researchers who apply are also considered.

Conditions

Recipients must be full-time enrolled and agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.

Application

How to apply

You must submit the University Student Financial Assessment Form and an application with:

  • Personal statement addressing the purpose of and commitment to your field of research
  • Curriculum vitae including leadership experience, publications or presentations related to your field of research
  • Statement of support from your supervisor
