Summary

The Anatomy and Physiology PhD Scholarship is offered to talented students who are enrolling in the Doctor of Philosophy - Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences within the Department of Anatomy and Physiology.

Benefits

The scholarship provides a fortnightly stipend with a rate of $37,000 per year (2024 full-time student rate) for 3.5 years. The stipend may be indexed annually and includes limited paid sick, parenting and partner leave.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered, you must:

  • Have applied for and be successful for the Doctor of Philosophy – Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences with the Department of Anatomy and Physiology
  • Have completed the Bachelor of Biomedicine (Degree with Honours), the Master of Biomedical Sciences or the Master of Philosophy course at the University of Melbourne with a research project in the Department of Anatomy and Physiology
  • Have not been offered a graduate research scholarship

Selection criteria

The scholarship is offered to the student(s) ranked highest based on their weighted average mark for their bachelor degree with honours or masters degree.

Conditions

This scholarship is subject to the Graduate Research Scholarships Terms and Conditions and cannot be deferred to the following year.
