Summary
The Argyle Scholarship in Engineering is supported by the Argyle Foundation Trust and is offered to domestic students who are enrolled in a Master of Engineering and are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances. Preference is given to students from a regional or remote area of Australia.
Benefits
This scholarship provides a living allowance of $10,000 a year for two years, paid in half-yearly instalments of $5000 in April and September.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident
- Be enrolled in their first semester of a 200-point or 300-point Engineering masters by coursework degree.
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the eligible candidate(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their personal statement.
Students from regional or remote areas of Australia will be given preference if ranked in the top fifty per cent of applicants.
In the interest of equitable distribution of awards, other scholarships or awards received from the University by candidates are considered.
Conditions
The scholarship is subject to the Faculty of Engineering and IT Scholarship Terms and Conditions and cannot be deferred to the following year. In addition, students must:
- Agree to the University providing their name and course details to the donor of their scholarship and to provide a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.

How to apply
You must submit an application and include:
- A personal statement addressing:
- Your interest in the chosen field of study or specialisation in Engineering
- The impact of disadvantaged circumstances you are facing on your ability to study
- The benefits of the scholarship to your academic and personal goals
- If applicable, evidence of having completed secondary school or having had lived for the past five years in a remote or regional area of Australia.
When will I know the outcome?
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application approximately six to eight weeks after the application close date.
