Summary
The Boeing Award for Excellence is offered to talented, domestic students who study and aspire to work in the field of engineering. Preference for one award will be given to Indigenous students.
Benefits
This scholarship provides a living allowance of $10,000 for one year, paid in half-yearly instalments of $5000 in April and September.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident
- Be enrolled in any of the 200-point or 300-point engineering masters degrees
- Have completed at least 100 points but fewer than 162.5 points of study.
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their personal statement and the Weighted Average Mark (WAM) for their current master degree:
- One scholarship is offered to students enrolled in the Master of Mechanical Engineering
- One scholarship is offered to students who identify as female and are enrolled in the 200-pointor 300-point engineering masters degree
- One scholarship is offered to students enrolled in the 200-point or 300-point engineering masters degree. Preference will be given to Indigenous students, if ranked in the top 75 percent of eligible applications.
Conditions
This award is subject to the Engineering and IT Coursework Terms and Conditions and cannot be deferred to the following year. In addition, students must:
- Pass all subjects and achieve a minimum 65 WAM in each half-year study period
- Agree to the University providing their name and course details to the donor of their scholarship and provide a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested
- If Indigenous, affirm and maintain their eligibility for support for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. See: Confirming your eligibility

How to apply
You must submit an application and include a personal statement outlining your reasons for pursuing studies in your chosen field of engineering, level of community engagement and the proposed impact the scholarship will have on helping you fulfil your professional goals.
