The Brunner Prize for Violin or Viola was established with a gift from the Brunner family and is offered to students who demonstrate the greatest natural ability or most improvement in the study of the violin or viola.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered, you must be enrolled in the second year of the Bachelor of Music (or its successor) and specialising in Violin or Viola.

Selection criteria

The prize is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their overall performance in the study of violin or viola, and either demonstrated the greatest natural ability (‘excellence prize’) or most improved performance (‘improvement prize’).

Conditions

Students must agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
