The Bryan Scholarship was established with a gift from Frederick Bryan and is awarded to students who are enrolled in a Bachelor of Science (Honours), or the first year of the Master of Science, in a field of natural science.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, students must:
- Be enrolled in a Bachelor of Science (Honours), or the first year of the Master of Science, with a major or specialisation in natural science
- Have completed the Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne
- Have not been awarded the Wyselaskie Scholarship in Natural Science or the Howitt Natural History Scholarship.
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the student(s) ranked highest based on their weighted average mark for 75 points of level three subjects with the highest mark in the Bachelor of Science. One scholarship is offered to a student undertaking a major or specialisation in Biological Sciences.
In the event of a tie, the scholarship will be awarded to the student with the highest Weighted Average Mark (WAM) for the Bachelor of Science.The award is offered to the student(s) ranked highest based on their academic merit.
