Summary

The Andrew and Geraldine Buxton Athletics Scholarship was established with a gift from Andrew and Geraldine Buxton, and is offered to an aspiring student-athletes in the sport of athletics to simultaneously pursue their world-class academic and sporting dreams.

Benefits

$10,000 per year paid in half-yearly instalments plus strength and conditioning programming and coaching, physiotherapy clinic access, academic and administrative support for the normal full-time duration or remaining full-time duration of the recipient's course.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, you must be a member of Melbourne University Athletics Club and have the potential to compete at a World Championship, Olympic or Paralympic level.

Selection criteria

Eligible candidates are assessed on the basis of information provided in an application to Melbourne University Sport. Renewal is assessed annually based on satisfactory academic progression and maintenance of high performance sporting pathway potential.
