Summary

The Civil Geotechnical Consultants Scholarship was established with a gift from Civil Geotechnical Consultants and is awarded to domestic students who are enrolled in the Master of Civil Engineering and experiencing disadvantaged circumstances.

Benefits

This scholarship provides a living allowance of $10,000 per year for up to two years, paid in half-yearly instalments of $5000 in April and September.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident
  • Be enrolled in your first semester of study in the Master of Civil Engineering.

Selection criteria

The scholarship is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their application and personal statement.

In the interest of equitable distribution of scholarships, other scholarships or prizes received from the University by graduate researchers are considered.

Conditions

This scholarship is subject to the Engineering and IT Coursework Scholarship Terms and Conditions and cannot be deferred. In addition, students must agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation and a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.

You must submit an application and include a personal statement addressing your reasons for studying Civil Engineering, the impact of disadvantaged circumstances on your studies to date (including supporting documents), and the benefit the scholarship will have on your studies.
