The Cliff Ogleby Award is offered to talented students who are enrolled in the Master of Spatial Engineering and undertaking study in the field of Geomatics.

About the donor

The Cliff Ogleby Award has been established in the memory of a well loved geomatics professor. Cliff Ogleby taught at The University of Melbourne for over 38 years, during which he made lasting contributions to the education of the next generation and to the preservation of culturally significant sites around the world.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this award, you must:

  • Be enrolled in the Master of Digital Infrastructure, Master of Spatial Engineering or Master of Engineering (Spatial)
  • Have completed at least 100 points (not including advanced standing), at the time of application

Selection criteria

The award is offered to the student(s) who are ranked highest by the selection panel based on their Weighted Average Mark (WAM) and their video submission.

How to apply

You must submit an application via the Faculty of Engineering & IT Round 1 Scholarships webpage and provide a short video addressing:

  • Interest and study/career ambitions in the spatial discipline
  • Any disadvantaged circumstances faced or currently facing and the impact this has had on your studies
  • The proposed impact the scholarship will have

When will I know the outcome?

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application approximately six to eight weeks after the application close date.
