Summary
The Cutler Scholarship was established with a gift from Terrence Cutler and is awarded to students who are commencing a Bachelor of Fine Arts or Masters by coursework degree in the Victorian College of the Arts to recognise their excellent artist achievement.
Benefits
This scholarship provides a living allowance of $10,000 per year for the full-time duration of the course, paid in half-yearly instalments of $5,000 in April and September.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Have been made an offer for the Bachelor of Fine Arts or a Masters by coursework degree in the Victorian College of the Arts in the year for which the scholarship is awarded.
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the eligible candidate(s) nominated by each Head of Department then ranked highest by the selection panel based on the strength of their folio of works or audition and course entry score.
Conditions
This scholarship is subject to the University’s Coursework Scholarship Terms and Conditions and cannot be deferred. In addition, recipients must:
- Agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation and a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
This scholarship is pending Academic Board approval.
