Summary

The D.E. Napier Scholarship is offered to high-achieving students who are enrolling in a graduate research degree and are undertaking research in the fields of quantity surveying, construction management or construction economics.

Benefits

This scholarship provides the following benefits:

  • A stipend worth $34,400 (2023 rate) per year for a maximum of 3.5 years
  • A full tuition fee sponsorship for the duration of the course through Research Training Program (RTP)

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Meet the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning’s minimum entry requirements for graduate research degrees (MPhil or PhD)
  • Be enrolling in, or enrolled in, a graduate research degree within the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning
  • Be conducting research in the fields of quantity surveying, construction management or construction economics.

Selection criteria

The award is offered to the student(s) ranked highest based on their academic merit. Short listed applicants may be invited to an interview.

How to apply

A candidature application for the Doctor of Philosophy - Architecture, Building and Planning or Master of Philosophy - Architecture, Building and Planning and an Expression of Interest (EOI) should be submitted by 31st October 2025.

When will I know the outcome?

The successful candidate will be notified by the end of 2026.
