Summary
The Daniel Curdie Scholarship was established with a gift from Frances Katherine McKenzie Curdie in memory of her father Daniel Curdie and is offered to students who are enrolled in the Faculty of Science to recognise their academic achievement. Preference is given to students who are residing at Ormond College with demonstrated service to the College.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must be enrolled in the Bachelor of Science – Honours, Graduate Diploma in Science (Advanced), Master of Science, Master of Philosophy – Science or Doctor of Philosophy – Science (or their successors).
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their overall weighted average marks for the previous two semesters of study (coursework) or course entry score (research) . Preference is given to students residing at Ormond College, who, after consultation with the Master of Ormond College, have demonstrated significant service to the community (this may include seminars, presentations or teaching activities).
Conditions
The scholarship cannot be held concurrently with the following scholarships:
- Bryan Scholarship in Natural Science (Biological)
- Howitt Natural History Scholarships (Major and Minor)
- Wyselaskie Natural Science Scholarship
In addition, students must agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
