David Kenworthy Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is open to students in the penultimate year of their Master of Chemical Engineering who are experiencing financial difficulties, with priority given to a rural student who is living away from home. This scholarship is awarded biennially.

  • Eligibility & selection criteria

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

    • enrolled in your penultimate year (completed at least 100 points, but less than 200 points) of the Master of Chemical Engineering/ Master of Engineering (Chemical)
    • able to demonstrate financial need

    Selection criteria

    Preference will be given to students who have moved from rural or regional Australia to pursue their tertiary studies.

    *This award is open for application every two years
  • When will I know the outcome?

    All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application approximately six to eight weeks after the application close date.

    David Kenworthy

    Christine Kenworthy established the David Kenworthy Memorial Scholarship in memory of her husband, David, who completed a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering in 1970 and a Master of Engineering Science in 1974 at the University of Melbourne.

What are the benefits?

In 2024, one scholarship of $10,000 is available. This will be paid in biannual instalments over two years.
