  • Eligibility & selection criteria

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

    • be a Domestic applicant
    • meet the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning’s PhD minimum entry requirements, and
    • be enrolling in a graduate research degree within the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning

    Selection criteria

    Eligible candidates will be ranked on:

    • scholarship score (based on academic transcripts, publications and previous institution)
    • relevant research proposal; and
    • the performance at interview for shortlisted candidates.
  • Application process

    A candidature application for the Doctor of Philosophy - Architecture, Building and Planning and an Expression of Interest (EOI) should also be submitted by 31 October 2023.

  • When will I know the outcome?

    Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview and to apply for graduate research candidature through the University of Melbourne.

What are the benefits?

  • A stipend worth $34,400 (2024 rate) per year for a maximum of 3.5 years
  • Tuition fee remission through Research Training Program (RTP)
