The Dean's Award for Excellence in Graduate Research is awarded to graduate researchers who demonstrated outstanding achievement in graduate research undertaken while enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy - Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this award, you must, in the award year:
- Have been enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences
- Not have completed your course.
Selection criteria
The award is offered to the graduate researcher(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on the quality of their application and is awarded equally across two research categories: Clinical Research (Clinical or practise-based research), or Discovery Research (wet or dry laboratory-based discovery research).

How to apply
You must submit an application and include:
- Personal statement (including supporting documents} addressing:
- Research publications and outputs, recognition for research excellence, including awards, prizes and invitations to speak
- Contributions to and engagement with faculty, the University of Melbourne, and external community groups
- Statement of support from your supervisor
- Endorsement from Head of Department, School or Institute.
