Summary
The Dennis-Wettenhall Prize is offered to the Faculty of Arts graduate student who submits the best thesis on an aspect of Australian history.
About the donor
Roland Ravenscroft Wettenhall, a dermatologist and historian, left a gift in his will to the University of Melbourne, providing for the establishment of the Dennis-Wettenhall Prize. Named to honour Wettenhall’s parents who were pioneers of the Wimmera and Western District in local government and the wool industry, the prize was established to support research work in Australian History.

Eligibility
To be considered for this prize, you must:
- Be enrolled in a Faculty of Arts graduate degree
- Have submitted a thesis on an aspect of Australian history between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2026

- A brief synopsis of the thesis
- A copy of the thesis (or a Minerva link to the thesis)
- A copy of the examiners’ reports.
