The Desmond J Cleary Memorial Prize was established with a gift from family, colleagues and friends of Desmond J Cleary and is awarded to students who achieve the highest mark in the subjects Financial Econometrics or Econometrics of Markets and Competition.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this prize, you must, in the award year have completed the subject Financial Econometrics or, if the subject is not available in the awarding year, the subject Econometrics of Markets and Competition.

Selection criteria

The prize is offered to the student(s) ranked highest based on their mark for the subject Financial Econometrics or Econometrics of Markets and Competition.

In the event of a tie, the prize will be split equally.

Conditions

Students must agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
