Summary
The Donovan-Johnston Memorial Scholarship was established by the late Kathleen Mary Johnston and is offered to full time residential students enrolling in the Doctor of Medicine, who have relocated from family residing at least 80 kilometres from GPO Melbourne.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be enrolled in your second year of study in the Doctor of Medicine
- Be a full-time residential student who has relocated for the purpose of study
- Have moved from your family's principal place of residence, located at least 80km from GPO Melbourne
Selection criteria
Recipients will be selected by the Melbourne Medical School Scholarships and Bursary Allocation Committee made up of senior professional and academic staff members of the School.
The selection of recipients is based on the applicant’s financial aid ranking as provided by the University Scholarships office.
Preference is given to students completing a placement at a Rural Clinical School site.
