Summary
The Donovan-Johnston Postgraduate Memorial Scholarship was established with a gift from Kathleen Mary Johnston and is offered to students who attend education courses conducted by or in association with the Royal College of Surgeons of England, or to participate in clinical attachments to British hospitals recognised for training towards fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be an outstanding medical graduate enrolled in a graduate research degree in the Melbourne Medical School, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences
- Satisfy the Faculty's entry requirements for PhD
- Attend education courses conducted by or in association with the Royal College of Surgeons of England OR participate in a clinical attachment to one or more hospitals within the UK recognised for training towards fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England
Selection criteria
Eligible applicants are selected on the basis of academic merit, the faculty scholarship score, demonstrated skill in the relevant research area, career aspiration and the terms and conditions of the trust.
The selection committee will base its assessment on the application form, academic transcripts, the faculty scholarship score, the student's project proposal, CV and referee reports.
