The Dr Allan Zavod Composition Award is offered to students who are enrolled in a coursework degree in Music and produced the most outstanding musical composition. Preference is given to classical-jazz fusion compositions.

The award provides a one-off payment of approximately $10000 if a single recipient is selected, or $5,000 if two recipients are selected.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this award, you must be enrolled as an undergraduate student in Music (specialising in classical/jazz fusion compositions) in the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music. Preference is given to students submitting scored classical-jazz fusion compositions.
Selection criteria
Nominations are made by the Head of discipline in consultation with academic staff. The Dean will approve the recipients.
