The Dr Betty Elliott Horticulture Scholarship was established with a gift from Dr Betty Elliott and is awarded to graduate researchers who are undertaking research into sustainability in Horticulture and are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, graduate researchers must be enrolled in a degree in the Faculty of Science and undertaking research in sustainability in Horticulture.
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the graduate researcher(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their research project and financial assessment score.
Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate the potential to make a major contribution to sustainability in horticulture if ranked tenth or higher.
Conditions
Graduate researchers must agree to give permission for the University to provide their name and course details to the donor of their scholarship and to provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
