Summary
The Engineering and IT Student Experience Grant is offered to students who are enrolled in graduate coursework in the Faculty of Engineering and IT and are undertaking non-credited extracurricular activities that enhance their learning and broaden their university experience.
Benefits
This grant provides a one-off payment of up to $500 towards the cost of activities within Australia and up to $1000 towards the cost of activities outside Australia.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this grant, you must:
- Be enrolled in a graduate coursework degree in the Faculty of Engineering and IT
- Propose an activity which does not directly contribute to course credit or assessment
- Have at least one semester of study remaining in your degree at the time of the proposed activity
- Must have an Academic Status of Good Standing
- Not have previously received this grant
Selection criteria
The grant is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their application.
Conditions
Students must:
- Undertake the activity for which the grant is offered
- Provide a report on the impact of undertaking the extracurricular activity within four weeks of completion of the experience.

How to apply
You must submit an application and include:
- Personal statement addressing how the proposed activity will impact your degree and/or future career development
- Evidence of registration, acceptance or invitation to participate in the planned program
- Risk questionnaire
- Details of two referees, including one academic referee from the Faculty of Engineering and IT.
