Engineering and IT Foundation Graduate Scholarship

This scholarship was established through generous donations from University of Melbourne engineering alumni, industry partners and the broader community, and is offered to students who are enrolling in a master degree by coursework with the Faculty of Engineering and IT.

  • Eligibility & selection criteria

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

    • must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen, or a citizen of a priority country
    • must have applied and received an offer for  a masters degree by coursework with the Faculty of Engineering and IT

    Selection criteria

    The scholarship is offered to eligible candidates with the highest entry scored based on the results of their previous tertiary studies.

  • When will I know the outcome?

    Offer allocations for the Melbourne School of Engineering Foundation Scholarship take place across three rounds:

    Semester 1

    Round 1: October

    Round 2: December

    Round 3: February

    Semester 2

    Round 1: March

    Round 2: April

    Round 3: June

What are the benefits?

The scholarship with an allowance of $5,000 per year for two years is offered to students with the highest entry score who are either:

  • international students from priority markets enrolling in an IT degree, or
  • domestic students enrolling in a Commonwealth Support Place

The scholarship with an allowance of $10,000 per year for two years is offered to students with the highest entry score who are either:

  • international students from priority markets enrolling in an Engineering degree, or
  • domestic students enrolling in an Australian Fee Place

The annual allowance is paid in two instalments in April and September.

Conditions

This scholarship is subject to the Melbourne School of Engineering Scholarships Terms & Conditions. The scholarship can be deferred to the following year but cannot be transferred to another course. In addition, you must achieve a weighted average mark of 65 or higher to maintain the scholarship payments.
