The Ethel McLennan Award was established with a gift from the University of Melbourne School of Botany Foundation in memory of the late Dr Ethel McLennan and is offered to talented students or graduate researchers enrolled in a graduate research degree in the field of Botany in recognition of their excellent academic achievement.

Eligibility
To be considered for this award, you must:
- Be enrolled in the Master of Philosophy – Science or Doctor of Philosophy – Science (or their successors) and be undertaking research in the field of Botany
- Have met requirements for confirmation of your candidature.
Selection criteria
The award is offered to the student(s) or graduate researcher(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on the quality of their application.
Conditions
Recipients must agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
