Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this award, you must:

  • Be enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine and have completed 300 credit points
  • Be undertaking clinical training at the Northern Clinical School

Selection criteria

The award will be offered to eligible students who are ranked highest by the selection panel based on their written patient case discussion and their understanding of the aetiology and pathophysiology of patient's medical condition and the proposed immediate, short- and longer-term plans.

How to apply

You must submit a written patient case discussion (maximum 1500 words) that demonstrates your clinical thinking. Shortlisted candidates will be required to present a long case to a selection panel.

When will I know the outcome?

Students must be available in October to present the long case component in person at the Northern Clinical School.
