Summary

The Business and Economics Indigenous Graduate Research Scholarship is offered to Indigenous candidates who are enrolling in the Doctor of Philosophy - Business and Economics. Our Graduate Programs are designed to build innovation, capacity and prepare you for a career in industry in research or professional roles.

Benefits

This scholarship provides the following benefits:

  • An additional stipend top-up of $6,400 per year (pro rata) for 3.5 years full-time (7.0 years part-time)
  • $15,000 Travel & Professional Development allowance per year of candidature (pro-rata, non-cumulative)

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, you must be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person by descent, identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and be accepted as such by the community in which you live or have lived.

Selection criteria

This scholarship is open to all eligible candidates.

Conditions

  • This scholarship is conditional upon awardees maintaining enrolment in the Faculty of Business and Economics Doctoral program and meeting all progression hurdles in the PhD program.
  • This scholarship is subject to the Graduate Research Scholarships Terms & Conditions.
  • This scholarship cannot be transferred outside of the Faculty of Business and Economics.
  • Students must affirm and maintain their eligibility for support for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. See: Establishing your eligibility

This scholarship can be held alongside a RTP (Indigenous) Scholarship/Award.
