Summary
The Frances Elizabeth Thomson Trust Scholarship was established by the late Frances Elizabeth Thompson and is offered to students enrolled full-time in one of the MDHS Honours programs.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be enrolled full-time in the MDHS Honours program, either through the Bachelor of Biomedicine (Degree with Honours) or the Bachelor of Science (Degree with Honours)
- Have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in your undergraduate degree* and a high level of financial need**.
*Eligible students will be identified by the Faculty and invited to complete an online Student Financial Assessment form.
**Financial need is assessed based on the information provided in the online Student Financial Assessment form.
Selection criteria
The Frances Elizabeth Thomson Trust Scholarship is awarded to domestic and international students, ranked by selection panels based on:
- Academic performance in undergraduate studies; and
- Demonstrated financial need.
The scholarship may be used to cover education fees, equipment, and/or living expenses.
Conditions
- This scholarship cannot be deferred to the following calendar year.
- Recipients must not be in receipt of another merit-based scholarship during the year this scholarship is awarded.

How to apply
There is no scholarship application required at the time of your course application.
Eligible students considered for this scholarship will be invited to submit an online Student Financial Assessment application by the closing date. Step-by-step instructions will be provided in the invitation email, which will be sent after course commencement.

When will I know the outcome?
Recipients will be advised in Semester one, with selection outcomes released in April.
