Summary
The Fritz Janeba Travelling Scholarship is offered to alumni and/or alumni who are current graduate research students in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning to pursue studies in design for up to 12 months at overseas universities or other overseas academic institutes.
Benefits
This scholarship provides a one-off payment of approximately $20,000. The amount awarded will vary depending on length of study and destination. The maximum tenure of this scholarship is one year or 12 months.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be a graduate of the Master of Architecture (or its equivalent, ie Bachelor of Architecture prior to introduction of the Melbourne Curriculum in 2008) from the University of Melbourne
OR
- Be a graduate of the Master of Architecture (or its equivalent) from the University of Melbourne and are currently undertaking a course for a higher degree (MPhil or PhD) in the faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning
In addition, you must:
- Be considering pursuing or have received an offer to undertake graduate level studies or research in the field of Design.
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on the rigour of their online application. The selection panel may require the applicant to attend an interview.
