Established from donations to the University of Melbourne 2006 Annual Appeal. This scholarship provides an annual allowance for up to 2 years for high achieving Master of Teaching students.

  • Eligibility & selection criteria

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

    • be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen
    • have received an offer for a domestic place in the Master of Teaching  (any stream) at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education
    • intend to enrol as a full-time student in the 2024 intake* of the Master of Teaching (any stream)

    *Please do not apply for this scholarship if you are entering your second year of a Master of Teaching program at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education.  This scholarship is for commencing students.  Second year Master of Teaching students may be eligible for the Olive Battersby Scholarship.

    Selection criteria

    Eligible applicants are selected primarily on the basis of academic merit, taking personal circumstances and other scholarships received into consideration.

    Offers will be made by February at the latest.

What are the benefits?

An allowance of $5,000 per year for up to two years.

The allowance is paid in installments in April and September of each year.
