Summary
The GAM Scott Research Award was established with a gift from friends and associates of George Anderson MacDonald Scott and is offered to students or graduate researchers enrolled in a research degree in Botany in the areas of bryophytes or plant ecology who are undertaking field work. Preference will be given to research work involving bryophytes.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this award, you must:
- Be enrolled in Honours or PhD in the field of Botany in the School of Bioscience
- Be undertaking research that involves field work the area of bryophytes or plant ecology.
Selection criteria
The award is offered to the student or graduate researcher(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their research project and personal statement. Preference will be given to research work involving bryophytes if applicants are ranked in the top 75% of applications.
Conditions
Recipients must agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
