The G I Feutrill Award is offered to PhD students travelling to conferences in organic chemistry outside of Victoria.
Benefits
This award provides a one-off payment of around $500 to $1000. Funds may be split between multiple recipients. More funds may be awarded to students on a case by case basis.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this award, you must:
- Be a full-time PhD candidate in the School of Chemistry
- Be undertaking travel to a conference in Organic Chemistry outside Victoria
- Be researching Organic Chemistry
Selection criteria
This scholarship is awarded on the recommendation of the head of the School of Chemistry.
Eligible candidates will be ranked based on:
- Academic merit
- The relevance of the conference to the student’s research
- The international standing of the conference

How to apply
You must apply via the SmartyGrants application form linked below.
The application should outline:
- Details of travel outside Victoria (date, location and budget)
- Details of relevance of the conference to the student’s research
- Benefit of travel
Note: Graduate Researchers need to apply for Study Away if travelling for research-related activities away from the University.
When will I know the outcome?
